And we're off!

 Ray retired yesterday, and today we're on the road. 

Woo hoo! Let's go!

Okay, I wasn't quite "woo hoo" this morning; kind of anxious about leaving the house empty and heading off on an adventure. Are the bathrooms clean? Is there any garbage? Will the kitchen sink stink if the disposal isn't run for a while? Pleased to report that there is no dirty laundry, no trash, no dishes in the sink, and virtually nothing in the refrigerator. And the floor is swept (you know, ants). 

We made it to Springfield today. That was always the plan -- short little hops and then stopping to tour and enjoy the place. I told the ticket people at the Lincoln Museum that they were our first stop on our cross country adventure, and they seemed pretty happy about it!

Got our National Park Passport here at Lincoln's Home, too, so we're ready to get stampin' as we head across country!
